ABOUT ABDOULAYE DIAKITE
For eighteen years, he traveled the world as the lead djembe drummer for the National Ballet of Senegal.
He was seven years old when he began playing the drums.
He moved to California in the late 1980s and started the drum and dance company CEEDO.
He is part of the Bamana ethnic group from Mali.
He is an African musician like pianist Abdullah Ibrahim .
