ABOUT ABDOULAYE DOUCOURé

Central midfielder who kicked off his professional soccer career with Rennes. In 2016, he joined Premier League club Watford before transferring to Everton FC in 2020. He debuted for the Mali national team in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification.

He played youth soccer for Rennes.

He was the Watford Player of the Season for 2017-18. He shares highlights from his soccer career on his abdoudux Instagram account, where he has gained upwards of 170,000 followers. In April 2021, he made an Instagram post in support of a campaign to stop discriminatory abuse online.

His cousin, Ladji Doucouré, is a track and field athlete who specializes in hurdling and sprinting.

He and Jordan Pickford became teammates in 2020.
