ABOUT ABDUL KHALID IBRAHIM

Malaysian politician who was a elected to Parliament in 2008 and served as Menteri Besar (Chief Minister) for Selangor. He is the first Menteri Besar not to have been a member of United Malays National Organisation.

Before entering politics, he was the CEO of Pemodalan Nasional Berhad from 1979 to 1994 and CEO of Malaysianized Guthrie from 1995 to 2003.

He became known for leading the "dawn raid" on the London Stock Exchange in 1981.

He married Puan Sri Salbiah Tunut.

He served in Parliament under Prime Minister Najib Razak .
