Indian actress, screenwriter, and lyricist who has predominantly appeared in films from the Malayalam, Telugu, and Tamil languages, as well as a handful of Kannada films. With a career that began at the age of five, she has accumulated around 130 film credits in the South Indian film industry.

In 1976, she made her debut as a child actress in the Telugu film Yashoda Krishna.
