American television actor who played Dr. Eric Lang on ABC's Dark Shadows . He has also appeared in notable films such as The Thomas Crown Affair and Three Days of the Condor.
He was a navigator on B-17 bombers for the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II and later earned a degree from the Yale School of Drama.
He appeared in the first seasons of the TV series Law & Order and The Mod Squad.
He was married to Bunnie from 1950 until her death in 1995 and was survived by three children Mary, Julie, and Michael.
He played a detective alongside Frank Sinatra in the television movie Contract on Cherry Street.
