ABOUT AHMED HOSSAM

Commonly known as Mido, he is a coach and former soccer player best known as the manager for Zamalek sports club. He gained popularity throughout his professional soccer career playing for clubs around the world, from Egypt to England. He also played for the Egyptian national team for almost ten years.

He began his youth career in 1999 with the Zamalek sports club. The following year, he made his debut in the Egyptian Premiere League.

He served as a sports analyst for Al Jazeera Sports and eventually earned his own show called Al hayat TV. He also hosted the online series FilGoal.

He married business student Yosra Wael in 2002.

He was coached by Gordon Strachan while he served as a member of the Middlesbrough football club.
