ABOUT AHU TURKPENCE
Actress who rose to fame for her breakthrough role in Bir Istanbul Masali. She played the role of Asena in the military television series Börü as well as its sci-fi spinoff series Börü 2039. She has also appeared in films including Hicran Sokagi, Denizden Gelen, and The Mountain II, as well as television series such as Elveda Rumeli and Tek Basimiza.
She initially enrolled to study physics at Yildiz Technical University, but put her studies on hold when a close friend helped her join the cast of the Müjdat Gezen Arts Center. She made her professional acting debut in 1996, on the television series Gurbetçiler.
She won the Golden Boll Award for Best Actress at the 2013 Adana Film Festival, for her performance in Nobody's Home. She was also nominated for awards from the Turkish Film Critics Association and the Sadri Alisik Theatre and Cinema Awards.
Her sister is fellow actress Gozde Turkpence .
She played the role of Esma Kozan Arhan on Bir Istanbul Masali, opposite Mehmet Aslantug .
