ABOUT AKEEM DAVIS-GAITHER

NFL linebacker that was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals during the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Previously, he attended Appalachian State University where he played college football. Following the 2019 season, he was named Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Year.

He is a graduate of Thomasville High School. While there, he played both running back and linebacker.

He made his official NFL debut playing against the Los Angeles Chargers during week one of the 2020 regular seasons. He and the Bengals lost the game 16-13.

Growing up, he lived with his family in the Thomasville, North Carolina area. He is the youngest of three siblings.

He caught his first career NFL interception facing Lamar Jackson .
