ABOUT AKHTAR UL IMAN
Screenwriter and poet who won the 1963 Filmfare Award for Best Dialogue for Dharmputra. Three years later, he won the award again for Waqt.
He associated with poet Khurshid ul Islam while growing up at Bijnor.
He won the 1962 Sahitya Akademi Award for Yadein (Memories), a collection of his poems.
He married and had three daughters and one son with Sultana Iman.
Another famous Indian poet is Sarojini Naidu .
