ABOUT AL BOASBERG

Comedy writer, most remembered for his screenplays including A Day at the Races, 1931's Cracked Nuts, and 1926's The General.

He was born and raised in New York.

He was one of the first "script doctors," earning some $1,000 each week.

He died of a heart attack at the young age of forty-four.

He wrote material for the famed comedian Jack Benny and helped to make Benny a radio star.
