ABOUT ALAA BALKHY
Saudi designer, illustrator and blogger who became renowned for her illustrations on designer bags, Oud bottles, shoes and more. She is the creator of the pop culture art brand Fyunka as well as a blog bearing her name.
She graduated from college with a bachelor's degree in graphic design at Dar Al Hekma University in 2011. She later obtained her M.P.S. in design management from Brooklyn's Pratt Institute.
Her creations have been featured on CNN, Oasis magazine and Emirates Woman.
She grew up between Montréal, Canada and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. She later resided in Brooklyn, New York. She got married in March 2016.
Both she and Lyn-Z received degrees from the prestigious Pratt Institute.
