ABOUT ALAI HUSSAIN GHASEM

Professional right-back that was originally signed by the Sweden-based soccer club IFK Göteborg in 2022. He was also named an Iraqi men's national team member during the 2022-23 season. His soccer fame has led him to amass more than 210,000 followers.

He initially began playing with the Bollklubben Häcken youth club as a young child. Following his 2019 season, he left the club to join IFK Göteborg.

He made his official international debut with Iraq while playing against the country of Oman during the 2022 Jordan International Tournament. He was later given the opportunity to represent Iraq during the 2023 Arabian Gulf Cup.

Growing up, he lived with his family in Gothenburg, Sweden. Although he and his family lived in Sweden, he was born of Iraqi descent.

He played alongside Marcus Berg as a member of IFK Göteborg during the 2022-23 Allsvenskan season.
