ABOUT ALAIN LAURIER
Former club midfielder and athlete that played soccer professionally for 18 years before officially retiring in the year 1982. During his professional club career, he primarily played in leagues across France. Shortly after retiring, he then began his professional coaching career.
He first began his professional soccer career with Stade de Reims in the year 1965. After seven seasons, he then joined Paris FC.
During his professional career, he was also named a member of the French men's national team. In fact, he played for Team France during the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico. He stood 5'9" tall.
He was survived by his wife and their children. He is a native of Créteil, France.
He primarily played the position of midfielder during his professional career just like Yaya Touré .
