ABOUT ALAIN LEVY

French executive best known as the former President and CEO of Polygram music label. He served from 1991 until the label was bought by Seagram for $11 billion in 1998.

He was born in Metz and graduated with an MBA from Wharton Business School in 1972.

After leaving Polygram, he served as the Chairman and CEO of EMI Music worldwide for seven years.

He has children named Arnaud, Jerome, Victor, Charlotte, Cleo and Nathaniel.

His Polygram label enjoyed enormous success due to its signing of artists like Donna Summer .
