ABOUT ALAN BUCKLEY
Former soccer forward best known for managing stints with Walsall and Grimsby Town.
He played the majority of his 20-year career with Walsall FC and made over 300 appearances for the club.
He helped Grimsby Town reach a second-place finish for the Johnstones Paint Trophy in 2008.
He has two sons, Adam and Simon, who have both played soccer professionally.
He was a former Birmingham City FC player, which is also true for Gil Merrick .
