Forward who played for five teams from 1966 to 1983, most notably Manchester United for the first 7 years of his career; scored 58 goals in 128 appearances for Huddersfield Town between 1972 and 1975.

He played on Manchester United's junior team while he was attending Manchester University.

He played for England's national team at the 1968 Olympics.

He was born in Stockport, Cheshire, England.

Due to his education, he was nicknamed "Bamber" because of Bamber Gascoigne .
