ABOUT ALAN RANGEL
Rose to fame in the summer of 2015 as the winner of the inaugural season of MasterChef Mexico.
Prior to earning his MasterChef title, he worked as a dishwasher. He was forced to quit his studies and never finished high school because his family could not afford it.
In the fall of 2015, he launched his self-titled food YouTube channel.
Though his father divorced his mother when he was a child, he inherited his love of food from him. He grew up alongside his younger siblings in Guadalajara. He has a son.
He beat out pastry chef Nallely Martinez on the first season of MasterChef Mexico.
