ABOUT ALBERT GUðMUNDSSON

Veteran right winger that earned his first professional club contract with the Netherlands based football club PSV in 2017. He earned a multi-year contract with the Genoa Football Club in January 2022. He has also played for the Icelandic men's national team during his career.

He initially began his youth soccer career with Knattspyrnufélag Reykjavíkur. He later joined the Heerenveen youth club before eventually joining PSV in 2015.

While playing with Team Iceland, he won a silver medal during the 2017 China Cup tournament. After scoring his first international goal in 2018, he joined his father, grandfather and great-grand father's legacy of being goal scorers for the Icelandic men's national team.

He grew up living with his family in Reykjavík, Iceland. He became a father in September 2020.

He has played alongside Aron Gunnarsson as a member of the Icelandic men's national team during his career.
