ABOUT ALBERT NIPON
Fashion designer most recognized for his eponymous label, Albert Nipon.
He matriculated from Temple University, and also worked as an accountant prior to designing.
In 1954, he and his wife co-designed their first collection -- an assortment of maternity ware that ended up becoming hugely successful.
He had four children with his wife named Pearl: Laurence, Leon, Andrew and Barbara Joy.
He dressed actress Mary Tyler Moore on several occasions.
