Italian chorister of the late 19th century. He is known for being the last known castrato singer and the only one to have made solo recordings. His recordings include sacred music, opera arias, and other vocal works.

He received his musical training at the Vatican's Sistine Chapel Choir. He became a soloist there and gained fame as a singer.

His recordings offer a glimpse into the sound of the castrato voice and serve as a valuable historical document of the late 19th-century musical tradition. He held the position of First Soprano in the Sistine Chapel Choir for 30 years.

He was from Latium, Italy.

One of his most well-known recordings is "Ave Maria" composed by Johann Sebastian Bach and Charles Gounod .
