ABOUT ALEX FLINN
Known for her work in the young adult fiction genre, Flinn published eleven books between 2001 and 2012. Her best-known works include Diva, Breaking Point, A Kiss in Time, and Beastly.
After earning a degree in opera performance from the University of Miami, she graduated from Nova South Eastern University's law school and had a decade-long career as an attorney.
Her debut novel Breathing Underwater was named one of the American Library Association's Top 10 Young Adult Fiction Works of 2001.
She was raised in Long Island, New York and Palmetto Bay, Florida. Her marriage to Eugene Flynn resulted in daughters named Katherine and Meredith.
She was born in the same month and year as fellow award-winning young adult novelist Sherman Alexie .
