Alexander Straus

ABOUT ALEXANDER STRAUS

Veteran head coach and former athlete that originally began his professional coaching career with the Norweigan-based club IL Varegg. Since then, he has coached soccer professionally in leagues across Norway and Germany. In June of 2022, he was hired to be the head coach of Bayern Munich .

He first discovered his passion for soccer as a young boy growing up. He would eventually receive his first professional coaching job in the year 2010.

In the year 2020, he became the first ever women's coach in SK Brann club history. He coached SK Brann from 2020 until the year 2022. In 2018, Straus became the head coach for Sandviken in Toppserien. With Straus as coach, the team came to their first cup finale since 1995 and came fourth in the league.

He is a native of Bergen, Norway.

He coached Georgia Stanway as a member of Bayern Munich during the 2024 club season.
