ABOUT ALEXANDER VIZCAíNO

Professional starting pitcher that was first signed by the New York Yankees as an international free agent in 2015. He was later acquired by the Chicago Cubs in July 2021. He was named one of the Cubs' top 100 MLB prospects in 2021.

He originally began his professional career playing for the DSL Yankees. He pitched in 11 games before being promoted.

In addition to being named one of the Cubs' top 100 MLB prospects in 2021, the year prior he was also named one of the Yankees' top 50 prospects.

Growing up, he lived with his family in San Cristobal, Dominican Republic.

He was once packaged in a trade that included Anthony Rizzo .
