ABOUT ALFA MIST
British music producer and songwriter born Alfa Sekitoleko, best known for blending jazz improvisation with Hip-Hop and club styles. After releasing his first solo EP, titled "Nocturne," in 2015, he released an album through the independent music label Anti- called "Bring Backs."
He attended Langdon Academy and Newham Sixth Form College in his hometown of Newham, England. He began composing music when he was just 15 years old, after having taken courses in music composition.
In the year 2021, he received a MOBO Award nomination for Best Jazz Act. He established a music label called Sekito. He is also a self-taught pianist. He also performed an instrumental set at the We Out Here music festival in 2021.
Although he originally wished to pursue a career as a professional footballer, his mother encouraged him to attend at least 2 years of college before making the commitment.
His long list of musical collaborations has included joint efforts with soul singer Jordan Rakei , drummer Yussef Dayes , and fellow music producer Tom Misch .
