ABOUT ALI GAYE

American defensive end who has played for the Louisiana State University Tigers since 2022. In his first game with the Tigers, he had three tackles and a team-high three passes defended. He finished the season with 32 tackles, two sacks, and six passes defended. He was named second-team All-Southeastern Conference.

He started playing football in 8th grade at Edmonds Woodway Highschool. He was rated a 3-star recruit and initially agreed to play for the University of Washington but later was disqualified based on his SAT scores. He attended school and played college football in Arizona and then Kansas. He then transferred to LSU.

He was a soccer player when he moved to the US and got serious about football in his sophomore year of high school. Between 8th grade and freshman year, he grew about 5 inches, landing at 6 feet and 6 inches. His football fame has resulted in him gaining over 10,000 followers on Instagram.

He was born in The Gambia and emigrated to the US at age 12, settling in Washington.

Kevin Faulk is a Louisiana Tigers player inducted into the hall of fame in college football in 2022.
