ABOUT ALICE MCCARTHY

Film and theatre actress best known for her lead role as Alice in London's West End's Olivier award-winning production of Rotterdam and Nanny Harewood in the Downton Abbey film. She posts life updates and pictures with her family on her alikimcc Instagram account.

She trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, graduating in 2014. Previously, she studied English at Trinity College.

She played the lead role in playwright Sam Ra's You Game, a reworking of Anthony Shaffer's Sleuth. This Tony Award-winning play later became a film starring Sir Laurence Olivier and Michael Caine .

She is of Irish, British, and Greek origin. She and Ivan de Klee were engaged in 2020 and got married in June of 2022.

She acted alongside Elisabeth Dermot Walsh in the BBC series Doctors .
