ABOUT ALIM MCNEILL

Professional defensive lineman that was taken as a third round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions . Prior to being drafted, he played college football at North Carolina State University . As a junior in 2020, he was named an All-American and a member of the first team All-ACC.

He is a graduate of Jesse O. Sanderson High School. While there, he played football and baseball.

He made his official NFL debut while playing against the San Francisco 49ers during week one of the 2021 regular season. He recorded 15 tackles with two sacks in 17 games played as a rookie with the Lions that season.

He grew up living with his family in the Raleigh, North Carolina area.

He is a former NC State collegiate athlete just like Dennis Smith Jr. and Philip Rivers .
