ABOUT ALISTAIR BEGG
Pastor who is best known as the voice behind the Christian preaching and teaching ministry Truth For Life. He has written devotionals and other books including Christian Manifesto: Jesus' Life-Changing Words from the Sermon on the Plain. In 2024, he announced his retirement as senior pastor of Parkside Church in Cleveland, Ohio.
He studied at London School of Theology, Westminster Theological Seminary, and Nottingham Trent University.
He became a United States citizen in 2004. He prompted widespread debate among the Christian community for advising a woman to attend her grandson's transgender wedding. He said that advice was based on Jesus' command for Christians to love even those with whom they disagree or disapproved.
In 1975, he married Susan Begg. They have three children.
He was influenced by Jim Elliot and Hudson Taylor .
