Finnish actress, entertainer, performer, and artist who became internationally famous for her breakout performance in the 2023 romantic comedy drama Fallen Leaves. She was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy or Musical for the role.
One of her earliest screen performances was in a 2004 episode of the series Fling.
She played author Tove Jansson in the 2020 film Tove. She was also in films like 2012's Naked Harbour, 2016's Flowers of Evil, and 2023's A Day and a Half. She voiced Snorkmaiden in the 2014 animated film Moomins on the Riviera. She was also nominated for Best Actress at the European Film Awards.
Her father is director Erik Pöysti. Her grandparents are actors Lasse Pöysti and Birgitta Ulfsson.
