ABOUT ÁLVARO CERVERA

Retired Spanish soccer player who played for Mallorca, Valencia, Racing Santander, and many other clubs during his long career which spanned from 1984 to 2001.

He began his youth soccer career with Alegria, and also spent time with Tenerife and Perines before joining Racing Santander.

He became a manager after retiring from playing and took over CD Tenerife in 2012.

He was born and raised in Santa Isabel, Guinea.

He and Quique Flores both played for Valencia.
