Lebanese American chef who first rose to fame after appearing as a contestant on the sixth season of MasterChef . She returned to the show for the 12th season and finished in seventh place. She is also known for her blog, which operates under the title Amanda's Plate.

She grew up watching Emeril Lagasse 's cooking show Emeril Live.

She organized a series of events called "Dinner With Your Muslim Neighbor." She was the first female chef to wear a hijab on a primetime American cooking program.

She is originally from Dearborn, Michigan.

She competed against Claudia Sandoval on MasterChef.
