ABOUT AMANDA SOLTERO

Reporter and anchor known as a face for both Star City News and KGIN-TV in Lincoln Nebraska, she first gained fame as the winner of the Miss Nebraska USA pageant in 2014 and as a member of the top 20 in the Miss USA pageant.

She graduate from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in journalism. While there she worked as a Student-U Reporter for the Big Ten Network.

She is a staunch advocate for Sammy's Superheroes, a nonprofit organization benefitting children with cancer.

She comes from a line of pageant winners with her mother taking the title of Mrs. Nebraska and her sister taking the title of Miss Nebraska Pre-Teen.

She competed against winner Nia Sanchez in the 2014 Miss USA pageant.
