Singer, musician, entertainer, artist, performer, and songwriter who was a founding member of the duo Groove Theory with Bryce Wilson .  Her debut solo album was 2000's Infinite Possibilities. Her singles include "Get Up," "Sweet Misery," "Afraid," "Weary," and "For Real."

She lived in Philadelphia when she was a teenager. She attended a performing arts high school prior to starting her professional music career.

She collaborated with Stanley Clarke and Glenn Lewis on a cover of Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway 's 1972 song "Where Is the Love." In the year 2004, the song received a nomination for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals at the Grammy Awards.

In the year 1994, she married Laru Larrieux. Together, they have two daughters; Sky and Sanji-Rei. Her parents are Brenda Dixon Gottschild and Esty Stowell.
