ABOUT AMERICA FERRERA

Actress best known for her role as Betty Suarez on ABC's Ugly Betty from 2006 to 2010. She also provided the voice of Astrid the Viking in the DreamWorks animated film How to Train Your Dragon . In 2015, she began starring in the NBC sitcom Superstore .

Her first acting role was in Romeo & Juliet in third grade as the apothecary.

She starred in the films Real Women Have Curves , The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants , Barbie , and many more. In 2024, she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.

She married Ryan Piers Williams in June of 2011. She and Ryan welcomed a son named Sebastian in May 2018. Their second child, a daughter named Lucia, was born on May 4, 2020.

She starred opposite Forest Whitaker in the 2010 comedy Our Family Wedding .
