ABOUT AMOBI OKOYE

Former NFL defensive tackle that was originally selected as a first round pick in the 2007 Draft by the Houston Texans . He also played for the Chicago Bears , Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys during his six year NFL career. He later played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders during the 2016 Canadian Football League season.

He initially began playing football as a sophomore at Lee Public High School in Huntsville, Alabama. At the time, he played both offensive and defensive line.

He entered his senior year of college at the University of Louisville at the age of 19. Despite only being a teenager, he earned All-American honors in 2006.

He was born in Anambra, Nigeria, and his family later relocated to the United States.

He was taken during the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft just like JaMarcus Russell .
