ABOUT ANAND NARAIN KAPOOR

Notable for founding and co-chairing the successful business conglomerate the Midcom Group, he is also known for his philanthropic work.

After earning his Master of Business Administration degree from India's Jaipuria Institute of Management, he relocated to Africa and briefly worked as a banker.

An accomplished amateur golfer, he was the 2012 winner of the Chairman's Cup.

Raised in Kanpur, India, he briefly lived and worked in Uganda before settling in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with his wife, Anvita Kapoor, and the couple's two daughters.

He is a contemporary of fellow Indian-born entrepreneur Vishal Gondal .
