Colombian actor who is famous for his portrayal of Pablo Escobar in the Caracol TV mini-series Pablo Escobar: el patrón del mal in 2012. He has also earned critical acclaim for his roles in the films The Vanished Elephant (2014) and The Seed of Silence (2015).

He earned his first on-screen credit for his work in 2003 on the TV series Santuario. He appeared in his first film in 2005.

He reprised his role as Pablo Escobar in the 2014 and 2015 telenovelas La viuda negra and El Señor de los Cielos, respectively.

He was originally born and raised in Cali, Colombia. His second last name is Medina.

He and Rafael Amaya starred alongside one another in the 2015 telenovela El Señor de los Cielos.
