André Schembri
ABOUT ANDRé SCHEMBRI
Former professional soccer player who kicked off his senior career with Hibernians in 2002 before transferring to Marsaxlokk in 2005. He went on to become a top scorer for Hungarian club Ferencvárosi. Following his retirement, he became a youth coach for Apollon Limassol and then football director of the club a year later.
He played youth soccer with Floriana and Hibernians.
He was named Malta's Sportsman of the Year for 2010. He posts about soccer on his official Facebook page, where he has gained upwards of 110,000 followers.
He married television presenter Clarissa Ellul in 2016. His father, Eric Schembri, played for Gżira United and Sliema Wanderers.
He and Cillian Sheridan played together for Omonia.
