Andreas Norlén

ABOUT ANDREAS NORLéN

Swedish politician and member of the Moderate Party who has served as Speaker of the Riksdag since September 2018. He was a chair on the Committee on the Constitution from 2014-2018. He was re-elected as Speaker in September of 2022.

His full name is Per Olof Andreas Norlén. He attended Stockholm University and Linköping University. He has been a Member of the Riksdag for Östergötland County since October 2006.

He enjoys gardening, often posting pictures of the colorful produce he grows to his talman.andreas.norlen Instagram, which has 70,000 followers. In March of 2023 he posted to his andreasostgote Twitter account about being the opening speaker for the inter-parliamentary EU-conference on foreign and security policy.

He has been married to Helena Kjellström since 2013. They have one son. They have a brown and black cat.

It was his job to nominate candidates for Stefan Lofven 's successor as Prime Minister.
