ABOUT ANDREW KNIZNER

Professional catcher that was originally drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals during the seventh round of the 2016 MLB Draft. He was drafted out of North Carolina State University . While at NC State, he was once named a member of the second-team All-ACC.

He initially began his professional career playing for the Johnson City Cardinals. After 53 games, he was later sent to the Peoria Chiefs.

He made his official major league debut playing against the Chicago Cubs on June 2, 2019. He finished his MLB debut going 0-for-3.

Although he was born in Glen Allen, Virginia he later relocated to Rahleigh, North Carolina.

He played alongside Adam Wainwright during his MLB debut.
