ABOUT ANDREW SLACK
Captained the Wallabies on their successful 1984 Grand Slam tour, considered a key factor in the Wallabies' rise to world rugby prominence.
He played his club rugby with the Brisbane Souths and made his Queensland debut at age 19.
His 133 appearances for the Reds between 1975 and 1987 stood as the state record until 2006.
He met his wife Caroline through rugby.
He and Rookie of the Year Peter Hynes both represented Australia at the national level.
