Andruw Monasterio
ABOUT ANDRUW MONASTERIO
MLB shortstop that was initially signed by the Chicago Cubs as an international free agent in 2014. A few years later, he was then traded to the Washington Nationals . Since then, he has played baseball within the Cleveland Guardians and Milwaukee Brewers organizations.
He first began his professional baseball career with the VSL Cubs rookie affiliate team. He was later promoted to the AZL Cubs.
He was only 17 years old when he signed his first professional baseball contract in 2014. Nearly a decade later he made his official MLB debut on May 28, 2023.
He grew up living with his family in Caracas, Venezuela.
He was once involved in a trade that also included Daniel Murphy .
