ABOUT ANN RULE
True crime novelist best known for The Stranger Beside Me, an autobiographical and biographical account of her time with serial killer Ted Bundy .
She first began her career as a law enforcement officer for the Seattle Police Department.
In 1969 she began publishing in True Detective magazine under the name Andy Stack.
She was born in Lowell, Michigan as Ann Rae Stackhouse. She had four children, one of which was American novelist Leslie Rule. She died in July 2015 of congestive heart failure.
She has written books about many notorious serial killers, including Jerry Brudos and Harvey Carignan .
