ABOUT ANNE ANDERSON
Scottish reproductive physiologist, researcher, and author who is known for her scientific research on the birth process and for her work in co-editing the first edition of, "Women's Problems in General Practice" (in 1983) and the "Effectiveness and Satisfaction in Antenatal Care" (in 1982).
She attended the University of Aberdeen, where she earned her M.B. degree in the year 1960. She then earned her medical degree from the same university in the year 1965.
She inspired the legacy of the Anne Anderson Award. She passed away from breast cancer at the relatively young age of 46.
She was born and raised in Forres, Scotland. Her full birth name was Anne Barbara Michie Anderson.
She was a female scientist who did important research and work in Scotland similar to Williamina Fleming .
