ABOUT ANNE GEORGE
Author and Pulitzer Prize-nominated poet. Her acclaimed publications include Some of it is True (poems) and the Southern Sisters mystery novels.
She attended Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. She published her debut literary work, Dreamer, Dreaming Me, in 1980.
She became the State Poet of Alabama in 1994.
She lived her whole life in Alabama: she was born in Montgomery, and she died in Birmingham.
She received the Agatha Award -- an honor named for renowned mystery writer Agatha Christie -- for her popular Southern Sisters mystery books.
