Anne Parrish
ABOUT ANNE PARRISH
An American novelist and author of children's books, she is best known for works such as The Dream Coach, Floating Island, and The Perennial Bachelor. Her 1950 work, The Story of Appleby Capple, was a finalist for the Newbery Medal.
She studied at the Philadelphia School of Design for Women. She published her first literary work, Pocketful of Poses, in 1923.
She was a three-time finalist for the prestigious Newbery Medal.
She married poet and novelist Josiah Titzell in 1938. She was born in Colorado, and she died in Connecticut.
She was an art collector and owned a painting by Claude Monet .
