ABOUT ANNE RIVERS SIDDONS
A twentieth-century fiction author who wrote about the southern United States, she was best known for horror novels such as The House Next Door (1978) and Peachtree Road (1988).
She attended Auburn University and subsequently worked as a senior editor for Atlanta magazine.
Her 1989 novel, Heartbreak Hotel, was adapted into Heart of Dixie, a film starring Ally Sheedy .
She was born in Atlanta, Georgia. She married Heyward Siddons in 1966.
Stephen King called Siddons' book, The House Next Door, one of the best horror novels of the century.
