ABOUT ANTHONY BUCHANAN

Former professional rugby union player who played in the position of prop forward. From the years 1981 to 1991, he played with Llanelli RFC. He was selected for Wales in the inaugural Rugby World Cup in the year 1987 and he featured in the Wales Triple Crown winning team of 1988.

He refused to play rugby at school. He got involved in the sport at the age of 22 as a way to impress his wife.

He later became Director of Rugby at Llanelli. Prior, he played 225 matches for Llanelli and scored 27 tries. His autobiography is titled, "The Buck Props Here!" It was co-written by journalist and writer Geraint Thomas.

His wife is named Alana.

He and Liam Williams are both famous Welsh rugby players.
