ABOUT ANTHONY PRICE

Known for such Silver and Gold Dagger Award-winning spy novels as The Labyrinth Makers and Other Paths to Glory, this British writer became famous for a series of nearly two dozen books focusing on the characters of Dr. David Audley and Colonel Jack Butler.

Following two years of service with the British Army, he attended Merton College, Oxford, and subsequently worked as an Oxford Times editor and a Westminster Press journalist.

His first three novels -- The Labyrinth Makers, The Alamut Ambush, and Colonel Butler's Wolf -- were adapted into an early 1980s British television miniseries titled Chessgame.

Born in Hertfordshire, England, he spent his early days as a student at The King's School in Canterbury.

English actor Martin Jarvis starred in a BBC Radio drama based on Price's novel Other Paths To Glory.
