ABOUT ANTONIO HIDALGO

Former professional midfielder whose 17-year career was spent largely in Spain's Segunda Division. His most notable years were with Malaga and Tenerife, who spent some time in La Liga while he played with them.

He played for Granollers and Bacelona's youth teams and started his professional career with Barcelona's C and B sides.

He played a handful of games for Spain's U17 and U18 teams in 1997. He also earned more than 100 caps with Sabadell in the early 2010s.

He grew up in Granollers, Spain.

He and Willy Caballero both played for Malaga in their careers.
